SGS is pleased to offer down-hole
video camera services with
digital video and audio recording capabilities. The camera has both
down and
side viewing lenses with independent light sources. The probe and
attaching
hardware are fully sealed stainless steel and can be submerged in
ground water
and acid mine drainage. The camera orientation can be determined to
locate true
positions of features observed in the borehole. A custom centralizing
assembly
allows for viewing in holes of any inclination. SGS also has a full
video
editing capability to convert the video into CD or DVD viewing formats.
Geotechnical Applications:
- Lithology determination
- Discontinuity analysis
- Borehole sidewall
